Umbrella Expenses: Daily Subsistence

Subsistence is basically meal costs incurred whilst working at a temporary workplace, such as meals, drinks etc. Carrington has a special dispensation with HMRC which allows our contractors to claim these expenses against tax without providing receipts to us each week! Less admin hassle and paperwork for our contractors.

You can only ever claim expenses that have been incurred wholly and exclusively for business purposes, you must only ever claim for expenses you have actually incurred.
