Carrington Sponsors Future England Cricket Star - Steven Finn

31st July 2009

Steve Finn

We are delighted to announce that we have begun to sponsor an up and coming 20 year old England cricketer by the name of Steven Finn, he currently plays for Middlesex and has been tipped as playing for the England team within the coming years. We are not a large firm but have decided to allocate a portion of our budget to sponsor him and encourage his career. We view this as our “give back to the community” initiative and are very proud to be associated with this kind of business focus. It is not often that businesses feedback into the sports culture at Steve’s player level and yet it is so important for the development of England’s sporting future, especially over the next 3 years.

Some interesting key facts about Steven are:

  • He played for England at all junior levels from U/15 to U/19
  • He is the youngest player to represent Middlesex at 16 years and 40 days old, he joined the Middlesex Team in 2007 and has been a fixture on this side since
  • He is an opening bowler and has been clocked at 91 miles per hour, this talent has secured his position in the ECB's (England & Wales Cricket Board) fast bowling group.
  • He played in the winning Middlesex side in the 2008 20/20 tournament
  • Currently this season he has taken 33 wickets
  • His ambitions includes being selected for the England Cricket side within the next 3 years.

We will be dedicating a page on our website to Steven, where he will share his views on the Ashes tournament, his progress through the season, his ambitions and perhaps his personal thoughts on the financial markets (for a bit of fun!).

So watch this space...
